We know how challenging it is as a young family to find the money for childcare fees. We believe in equality of opportunity for all, regardless of parental income levels.
Therefore, all funded and non-funded children have access to all activities, snacks and outings, with no extra costs.
Your child's government funding may be used for all sessions. Only hours over and above the weekly funded hours will be chargeable.
From September 2024, you can apply for 15 hours a week for 2 year olds.
You can usually get free childcare if you (and your partner, if you have one) meet the earnings threshold and are:
Some 2 year olds in Brighton & Hove who are eligible for certain benefits are entitled to receive up to 15 hours a week of free early learning, or 570 hours spread across the year.
You can now apply for 15 hours a week for 2 year olds.
You can usually get free childcare if you (and your partner, if you have one) meet the earnings threshold and are:
All 3 and 4 year olds can get up to 570 hours of free early learning. These hours are spread across the year and begin from the term after their third birthday.
You can get 30 hours of free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year, or 27.8 hours if you attend our nursery for 40 weeks.
Your eligibility depends on:
- if you’re working (employed, self-employed, or both)
- your income (and your partner’s income, if you have one)
- your child’s age and circumstances
- your immigration status
You can get 30 hours free childcare at the same time as claiming Universal Credit, tax credits, childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare.
If you are not currently working
You may still be eligible if your partner is working, and you get Incapacity Benefit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Limited Capability for Work Benefit or contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance.
You can apply if you’re starting or re-starting work within the next 31 days.
You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. This goes up to £1,000 every 3 months if a child is disabled (up to £4,000 a year).
If you get Tax-Free Childcare, you’ll set up an online childcare account for your child. For every £8 you pay into this account, the government will pay in £2 to use to pay your provider.
You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.
From Sept 2025 - Up to 30 hours for eligible working families in England with a child from 9 months old up to school age.
This includes a morning snack of veg, fruit, crackers/toast and milk.

Any extra hours required will be charged at our usual hourly rate for the child's age group.
- 3 & 4 year olds.......£7.00 each

A 10% discount on non-funded hours is offered to a second child attending at the same time.
You are welcome to bring a packed lunch if you choose. Alternatively, we can order your child a hot meal from the school canteen each day for £3 per meal. Vegetarian or meat options.
There is a £35 registration fee, not applicable for funded only children. No deposit is required.
We do not require a deposit. We ask that you keep to our policy of giving us 1 months notice for reduction of any booked sessions.
We do not make any charge for consumables or extra activities. All children will have access to the same activities including our weekly dance class if they attend on this day.
